The Board ordered the tenants to pay the landlord $349 for the reasonable expenses to change the locks, and an additional $201 for the cost of filing the application, for a total of $550.
The landlord applied for an order determining whether the tenants altered the locking system without the landlord's consent. The landlord was not able to attend the initial hearing, so a review was requested and granted.
Landlord discovered the lock was changed when they tried to enter the unit for an inspection.
Tenant changed the lock due to a stuck latch, but did not inform the landlord or provide a copy of the new key.
