The Tenant's application is dismissed. The Landlord did not breach their maintenance obligations under the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006.
Tenant applied for an order determining that the Landlord failed to meet the Landlord's maintenance obligations under the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006 or failed to comply with health, safety, housing or maintenance standards due to a bed bug infestation in the rental unit.
Tenant hired third party inspectors who confirmed presence of bed bugs and recommended heat treatment. Tenant also hired a company to do heat treatment, which resolved the issue.
