Tenants' personal circumstances and challenges in finding alternative accommodations
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent and persistent late payment of rent. The Landlord served valid N4 and N8 notices, but the Tenants did not void the notices by paying the arrears.
Landlord seeks eviction order as soon as possible, noting the arrears are substantial. Landlord indicated he has been impacted by higher expenses/interest charges and states he has reached to the Tenants for a repayment plan, without success.
Tenant indicated she has lived at the rental unit for 3 years, alongside her boyfriend, daughter and grandchild. She indicated her employment was impacted by the pandemic.
