Hearing Date

Order Date

Tenancy End Date
Jun 2024
The Landlord has proven the grounds for termination of the tenancy. The tenancy is terminated effective June 30, 2024. The Tenant is ordered to vacate the rental unit by June 30, 2024. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) to enforce the eviction.
To provide the Tenant with time to find new living arrangements
The Landlord, the Corporation of the Town of Oakville, applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant, Patricia aka Trish Bolton, because the Landlord requires possession of the rental unit in order to demolish the unit.
The Tenant testified that the rental unit is safe and does not need to be demolished, that she should have been more included in the Town Council's decision, that there is community support to not demolish the unit, and that a conservation covenant agreement and a restrictive covenant apply to the land which will stop the Landlord from demolishing the unit.
