The tenancy between the Landlord and Tenant is terminated. The Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before July 31, 2023. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) to enforce the eviction. The Landlord has agreed to work with Velma Wells, the occupant, to move her to a two-bedroom unit in another building.
The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant because the Tenant entered into an agreement to terminate the tenancy. The issue was whether Velma Wells, who has resided in the rental unit with the Tenant and her husband, is a tenant or an occupant.
