The Tenant's T1 and T6 applications were dismissed. The Landlord was entitled to retain the last month's rent deposit as the Tenant did not provide proper notice to vacate the unit.
Tenant applied for orders regarding the landlord's failure to maintain the rental unit and collect/retain money illegally. The landlord and tenant attended the hearing.
Landlord testified he immediately purchased pest control products and applied them as per instructions every 15 days. Landlord also removed the other tenant's property in October when that tenant vacated.
Tenant noticed bed bug bites and observed bed bugs in his room and hallway. Tenant verbally notified the Landlord shortly before October 1, 2022 but the Landlord did nothing to remedy the situation.
Tenant filed the application 363 days after he moved out, which is beyond the 1-year limitation period.
