Tenancy End Date
Jul 2023
The tenancy is terminated effective July 9, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $9,272.51 plus $34.36 per day starting June 29, 2023 until the Tenant vacates the unit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by July 9, 2023, the Tenant will owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's failure to pay rent as per the previous order issued on February 24, 2023. The Tenant did not pay the full monthly rent for February 2023 as required by the previous order.
Tenant requested another chance to repay the arrears or time to move out as she has an 11-year-old child and elderly parent living with her and nowhere else to go.
Tenant lost her job at the end of February and was unable to comply with the terms of the previous order. She started receiving Ontario Works in March and sent $700 to the Landlord around May 10, 2023, but the Landlord did not receive it.
