The Landlord's request for review was granted. The tenancy will be terminated on November 30, 2024 unless the Tenant pays the full rent arrears of $6,840.50 by October 31, 2024 or $7,741.46 by November 30, 2024. If the Tenant does not pay, they must vacate the unit by November 30, 2024 and will owe daily compensation of $29.62 until they move out.
Tenant is a senior citizen with limited income, but arrears continue to grow and tenancy is no longer viable
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The Tenants requested a review of the original order and the order was stayed until the review was resolved.
Landlord states they sent letters to the Tenant regarding the arrears but there was no response.
Tenant states she has been experiencing financial issues and the rent arrears are continuing to grow. She is already on a payment plan for hydro arrears and paying $400 per month to money lenders.
