Unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $18,186 on or before May 14, 2024, the tenancy will be terminated. If the Tenant does not void the order, they must pay the Landlord $12,027 in rent arrears and application fees, plus daily compensation of $65.75 from February 29, 2024 until they vacate the unit.
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenants did not void by paying the arrears.
Landlord made numerous efforts to make payment arrangements with the Tenant.
Tenant fell behind on rent due to unexpected expenses for their son. At one point, the heat and water had been cut off but were later restored.
