The Board's order found rent arrears of $16,542.01 as of October 31, 2023, and the landlord's evidence shows the total amount owed is now $19,891.40.
Tenant argued that (1) he did not receive notice of the initial Board hearing, (2) the Board did not permit him to raise the issue of illegal entry, and (3) the Board's calculations of rent owed were incorrect.
Tenant failed to pay rent since August 1, 2022 and did not comply with court's directions to pay monthly rent and arrears.
Tenant mistakenly believed the 30-day deadline to file an appeal began from the date the Board's stay was lifted, rather than the date of the Board's order.
