The tenancy will be terminated on April 30, 2023 unless the Tenant pays $13,936 to void the order and continue the tenancy. If the Tenant does not pay, they must vacate the unit by April 30, 2023 and pay the Landlord $11,970.30 plus daily compensation of $41.10 per day starting March 14, 2023 until the unit is vacated.
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenant did not void by paying the arrears.
Landlord sent letters to Tenant regarding rent arrears and possible payment plans, but Tenant did not respond.
Tenant requested to stay in the unit until suitable housing can be provided.
Tenant is terminally ill and on the waiting list for priority social housing. Tenant's monthly income cannot support the rent.
