The tenancy is terminated effective December 26, 2021 unless the Tenant pays $11,431.00 by November 30, 2021 or $12,387.00 by December 26, 2021 to void the order. The Tenant must also pay $186.00 in application fees and $31.43 per day in compensation starting November 26, 2021 until the unit is vacated.
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Tenant was not present at the initial hearing on July 8, 2021 due to technical issues, but was granted a review hearing on November 19, 2021.
Tenant argued that he was not reasonably able to participate in the initial hearing due to technical issues.
Tenant attempted to log in for the initial hearing at 9:00 AM but was unable to connect, and was under the mistaken belief that he could not participate in the 1:00 PM hearing.
