The tenancy is terminated effective November 30, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $20,122.25 plus $41.36 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting October 19, 2021 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owing by November 30, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board.
Landlord objected to the payment plan as it would take a substantial amount of time to pay off the substantial arrears, and the Landlord would be financially unable to continue the tenancy.
Tenant requested a payment plan to pay the arrears of $341.99 per month until the arrears are paid off.
Tenant did not pay the required amount of $14,687.72 by June 30, 2021 as specified in the previous order. Tenant stated he expected a payout from an ongoing lawsuit to pay the arrears, but the lawsuit is still ongoing.
